Srijan. Call it the 'passion for creation' or a 'celebration of creativity'; its all about setting our wildest dreams and passions into motion. Srijan is celebrated annually at ISM Dhanbad. The festival is not only a panorama of events to test the cultural and artistic skills of the youth from all over the country, but it also endeavours to bring together eminent artists as well as celebrities across the globe, all in an attempt to bestow a memorable and spellbinding experience.
The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on 9th December 1926, by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. In 1967 it was granted the status of a deemed to be university. Situated in the heart of the country'sprime coking coal belt, the campus spreads over an area of 393 acres. The fully residential campus with all the facilities of a world class academic institute currently has 17 different Departments and over 200 faculty, and over 5000 students.
The institute currently offers a host of programmes like B. Tech., M. Tech., M. Sc. Tech., and MBA. In addition the School also offers M. Phil. and full time as well as part time Ph. D. programmes in the field of engineering, Sciences, Management and Humanities and Social Sciences. ISM also awards D.Sc. as the highest degree of academic achievement. The admission to the four year and the five year graduate courses are through the prestigious IIT-JEE examination. The institute has links with reputed universities and institutes across the globe and has an alumni base all over the world. Today the School is making foray into the newer areas of academic endeavors in tune with the changing ties and demands of the industries.

We invite all the colleges/schools across India to join us in this cause. Interested colleges should make a team and conduct a event in their campus, locality or city and submit it here. Take the initiative, select a cause and organise the event. Best College/school will be awarded during the festival.
Let's Do It!26th January 2013, 64th Republic Day of India Dhanbad witnessed one of the biggest Cleanliness drive of its kind organized as a pre event of Srijan ISM Dhanbad in association with Fast Forward India under the banner of Let's do it World! More than 1000 Volunteers came up with a common motto of Cleanliness. The drive was a huge success being organised in different part of cities in collaboration with major schools of Dhanbad.
